Smart data visualization and generative design are our passion at 17K, as is the personal contact with our customers and partners.
Because every customer, partner and project represents something special to us, we thought that we should show the uniqueness of each relationship in our Christmas cards.
So for holiday season 2014 we created an individual snowflake for each of our customers and partners.
We analyzed the individual mail traffic, between the recipients of the Christmas cards and us. Incoming and outgoing e-mails are drawn as arrows on two time lines. The time lines start in the middle with our foundation in May and end on the outside with November.
The direction of the arrow indicates whether the mails were sent to us (out) or from us (in). Each e-mail was also analyzed for its data size. The bigger the e-mail, the longer the arrows. We then copied and rotated the time lines several times to form snowflakes.
For each snowflake, we also created an animation that shows its creation. For example: www.17k.de/greetings/?to=you
